TORONTO, Sept. 25 /CNW/ - General Motors of Canada's chief negotiator Al Green informed Canadian Auto Workers president Buzz Hargrove this evening that he is not yet prepared to table an economic proposal. "Mr. Green stated I will call you early tomorrow to let you know if and when GM is prepared to table an economic offer," said Hargrove.
Contract negotiations at a Toronto hotel between the CAW and GM continues through the night at the local and sub-committee levels. Hargrove said however that "it is not clear how much progress can be made until the pattern agreement is tabled."

The CAW represents 17,100 members at General Motors of Canada. The deadline in contract talks is 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, September 27.
